In order to even get the software activated, you have to register with an Identifier such as a Passport or Driver’s License and a working phone number. Any recordings that you make using the software are then given a digital fingerprint that ties the voice cloning to your software. If at anytime someone wants to sue you for misappropriating a famous singer’s voice, or fraudulently using a famous voice, they know who to come after. I have had some fun recently reviving the voice of man who used to be the singer in a band I played in back in the 70’s. He passed away during the COVID pandemic, and I had a song that had been specifically designed for his voice and never recorded. I was able to bring him back to life, so to speak, and the results were convincing.

I won’t make any judgements about why you want to do something, because we all have our own ability to judge if something is ethical or legal. Just be aware that the industry has set up guardrails to make sure if you misuse the software you will pay the consequences.
