The download will install over the top of your installed copy. Unless you are upgrading to Audiophile, I see no reason to get physical media,

The media being shipped is on a flash drive—too slow to run the app from that external, IMO (much slower than the USB 3 HHDs of the past). If pressed for driver space, you can install RealTracks and Drums onto an external SSD — which to get depends on your Mac. It’s easy to set up and let the Install Manager app know where everything is.
