From reading the links and then searching on news sources it appears that this is directed toward "AI Slop" and based on the examples given it would appear to have little effect on Joe Blow uploading a three minute AI sourced music video. Dunno. We are way on the periphery of this as we subscribe to the ad free YT option and watch nothing but music videos of artists that we enjoy. And our all AI free J&B vids only get a few hundred views. But anything that will reduce the Slop, as I understand it, is welcomed by us.

On a marginally related note I was recently working on a story board for a possible upcoming video and visited my favorite PD photo site Pixabay for which I have long been a member. I searched on a relevant topic and the thousands of photos that appeared were ALL AI generated and it was noticeable from the first nanosecond they were on the screen. Fortunately they included a non-AI filter. Were it not for that my subscription would have been cancelled. Sheesh.
