Hi Janne,

Love the heavy groove. Guitars, and the way you have them panned is perfect. Vocal sounds great too.

This is my new favorite from you I think, excellent!

Janne,

The lyrics are quite dark, but it's a great rock song.
I really love to drink Scotch whisky, so this is a story I can relate to.
The vocals of Synthesizer V SAROS are perfect for this song.
It sounds like a human singer is singing.
I think your operation of Synthesizer V has reached veteran level.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best regards.

Thanks TM for your kind review smile It's sad that we may not notice or know how to politely warn about alcohol problems until it is too late.

Thanks for the heartwarming comment smile I sort of agree about the gritty vocalist, but this one was a deliberate choice I made.

That synth vocal was so real sounding that if you hadn't said anything I would have thought it was a human.
Super mix

PS - I did a song in 2015 about a friend whom drank himself into a nursing home at the age of 50 and died from drinking a few years later. If interested it is on Soundcloud and called Demon. So yes it can happen to anyone.

Thanks Mario for your super positive review of my song smile

I enjoyed your song Demon very much, a great song but a sad message.

Thanks for your kind review smile Glad you mentioned the guitars, the chorus and the chords, they really make the song. Especially those BIAB guitars that play my weird chords perfectly without complaining wink

A Great Sound. Throughout the entire production. An impressive, big sound. (with dynamics)
Interesting write.

I really enjoyed this.
Impressed.

Saros and Jun are a good pairing for this dark lyric.

The harmonies and chord changes in the chorus are outstanding.
They perfectly provide both tension and the melancholic feel.
We’ve had friends in similar circumstances and it is very sad.

We could go on, but this is, simply stated, a tremendous epic production.

Exceptionally well done!

Thanks Janice & Bud for your lovely review of my dark song smile Glad you found the tension provided by the chord changes.

Thanks Shigeki Adachi, I appreciate your kind feedback smile I wouldn't call me a veteran, Synthesizer V is so simple to use that even a novice can make professional sounding vocals.

This amazing track, with alternating harmony and dissonance, accurately reflects what some people (unfortunately) experience in this life. As with Gilbert O' Sullivan's Alone Again Naturally, sad songs can speak to us as powerfully as happy ones .

Hey Janne,

Hey this is a really cool song man. The lyrics really speak about the pain of a lonely life and they're very well done.

I also like the instrumentation in the mix here.

You did a really great job!

Thanks, I really appreciate your very kind feedback smile I agree what you say about sad songs, they can be our solace with less side effects than a bottle... Interestingly, this is the fourth time O'Sullivan is mentioned in the context of my song on this forum...

Very ominous groove Janne. Backtrack chord progressions really bring in some ache and angst to the song. Excellent lyric and vocal. Well done
