That is a great lyric, from the first line:
“Life seemed so much simpler when I was younger” through the last line.
And that chorus is relatable to the max.

The big, full band shows off how good BiaB is in talented hands.
Your vocals are to no surprise excellent as is the open mix with superb dynamics.
The soundstage on our Kali monitors is standout.

2013? Yep, you had this excellent production thing even before that.
We still have notes of our fj mix mentoring from back then. smile

Excellent!

Yes indeed. Growth. It comes in many forms. Like you said, learning to play an instrument, or maybe just reviving the skills and knocking off the rust. It comes from taking one tiny step forward. It comes from digging deeper into the creative parts of our souls and it comes from embracing new things, new technology, and it comes from finding new ways to work to produce something that would have been seemingly impossible just a few years ago. To sit afar, aloof, and refuse to celebrate this growth, isn't growth. So it's good to see you embracing growth. May we all continue to grow and expand our horizons for as long as we are alive and have the opportunity to grow.

BTW: I like that old song.

I don't think anyone thinks of you as aloof, so no worries there.

Relating to the song is a bit unfortunate smile But we have a lot of company....on this forum...
"Here's to growing...even if it's growing old" <<< clever!

Also the part about a woman's love; I met mine in 1964!
As usual everything is professional.
A great find from 2013.
Loved it

I have yet to find a collab with you and Bill that I haven't loved.
Love the lyrics, love your vocals.
My wild guess is that Bill started it off right and then you turned it into a love song grin
If you ever get bored enough to re-record it, I vote for a hard rock version.

A wonderrul collab, Floyd.

Thanks for your continuing support, Marty...

Thanks, BD. Been a while, but I'm pretty sure Bill had the "love twist" in there from the start (he, too, was aiming at the commercial Country market...

hey Floyd,

You & Bill are a great team. This has drive, power, and reach.

My grandfather always said being over the hill ain't all that bad - you can coast when ya feel like and nobody cares. I'm close to 20 years older than you and don't feel over the hill at all. No aches, no pains, only a sleeping pill for meds.

This is a great composition and a perfect fit for your voice. I noted above that this has reach - your voice reaches out and pulls the listener in. And he/she is glad it did. You make some the best music I've heard. And I've heard a lot in these near-80 years. Spent about 55 years in the middle of it.

I always leave your songs with a smile on my face and a bright spot in my soul. And these days, I need that. Thanks!

Alan
