When I hear you say "pickup notes or measure" I think of Autumn Leaves. Is this what you are trying to do? In stead, the notes entered on the notation sheet play in the hidden countin bar prior to Bar 1 ( Am7). So you can not enter any Chord Name on this pickup bar. If this is news to you, well that is just the away BIAB does it.
