I was thinking the same thing. It’s very easy for me to hear the nuances of a sax versus a different instrument but I haven’t used a program that can do it yet. To the program, all horns are ‘other’. It would seem easy enough in theory for a program to learn differences in attack, timber, waveform shape etc. eventually. Yep exactly - humans can tell the difference, but computers can't yet. The key word though is "eventually" - however that eventually is outside our control, as we're using tech from another company.
