Hi Dan,

IMHO I think if anyone is serious about recording should do so in a DAW, any DAW.

You said " It would seem impossible that the problem lies with BnB, too many other people would have complained and it would have been fixed". I believe most people use a DAW to record. Also most use a keyboard controller which one can record with in BiaB. Very few of us use a wind or breath controller.

I do not record in BiaB, however I thought that I would give it a try. Using the VST3 Swam Tenor sax I could record in BiaB using just my keyboard controller. But after around 1.5 hours of messing around I could not get the VST3 to respond to either my EWI wind controller or my breath and keyboard controller combination. I also tried a couple of different VST2 instruments with identical results. Note that I tried both CC2, CC7, and CC11settings on both the EWI and wind controller. Note like you I can get both to work in many other programs and my DAW, Studio One Pro 7.

I believe you can not daisy chain controllers in BiaB, i.e. Wind/breath+keyboard->VST->BiaB or Wind->VST->BiaB.

FYI-I have been using MIDI since around the late 1980s.
