I have a new, powerful, Windows 11 Dell computer. I am running 2024, 32-bit BIAB. I run that rather than the 64-bit because the 64-bit will not put words in the Big Lyric Windows (I am not worried about that) and it will not put the red-fill in the melody notes as the song plays. That is a serious concern for me. I have worried the techs at PGMusic about this for nearly a year and they basically gave up. Both these functions worked with the 32- bit version.

I recently bought and installed (or tried to) a Motu M4 Audio Driver. I am using it for all the sounds associated with my computer. I have earphones plugged into the front right, my microphone is plugged into the front left, the USB runs from the back to the computer, there is a wire going to the computer speakers, and I have terrible luck trying to record audio in Band-In-A-Box. I get poor recording sound when I listen with the headphones but nothing when I play through the computer’s speakers.

My Motu is currently set at 44100 hz sample rare and 256 buffer size. My Audio Driver type is set to MME. When I click on Audio Drivers the Audio Input Driver is set to: (In 1-2 MOTU M Series) and the Audio Output Driver is set to: (Out 1-2 MOTU M Series). I have set the audio on my computer to match the Input and Output above, I think.

When I attempt to record audio, I click on Audio > Record Audio to > Audio. I have no idea if this is correct.

The results are dismal: scratchy distant sound through the earphones, nothing on the computer speakers. Can anybody walk me through this miserable, melodic morass?
