"The Right Track (co-write with floyd jane / feat. Peter on guitar)" <-- Yeah, that alone tells us it's gonna be a huge hit. I wasn't forum born 10 years ago, but on this version... well, I can't imagine it without Peter. Man, I love the write with a feel that grabs ya and the lyrics keeps you engrossed. The entertwining vocals are magical. A pro master!! Thank you Marty, this has been one of our favs for years and it was fun and interesting to start over on it. So the generous comments are all the more appreciated. J&B

I think this one is my new fave of yours. It speaks to me; been looking for my 'right track' for years now. I love the chorus. I'm hearing a higher harmony...an option, anyway...or maybe existed in an earlier version. Thank you. We are happy you liked it. Janice sang high harmony parts for years in our bluegrass bands and later on most of our forum posts. But with floyd she has always approached it like a duet thing ... just the two of them as they both like the blend. Thanks again! J&B

Great track! I always maintain that these projects are never really “done”, and I appreciate that, in the digital world, we can revisit/improve/enrich older work.
This is a great example of that idea, and it’s solid all the way around. Nice finishing element to end on a positive chord!!

When the three of you write a song together, my expectations are high and I'm never disappointed.
I love the mood Janice's voice and the piano create, a little sad, a little wistful.

I don't recall having heard this one before. But sure am glad I got to hear this version. professional all the way. But that's what you folks do all the time.
Janice's vocals always have that wistful, hopeful quality. A voice of voices. peter smokes this one. I wonder if that Les Paul has cooled down yet. And of course Bud twist knobs and dial s as good as anyone I've heard. And can't go wrong with Floyd adding anything to any recording.
BTW, I liked it a lot.

I've only been on the forum seven years so this was completely new to me. Big surprise, I loved it! Great song, great vox, great guitar, great production. How many greats was that? I liked that it started out telling a grim story but then it became uplifting. Excellent work.

WOW!!! Another great tune by the forum house band, with FJ sitting in!! Pretty soon, you'll have to do one with dueling guitars with Peter and Floyd! Really well done!! Particularly love this verse

Hi, J&B. Big production, clear sound (because of Bud, of course), everyone sounds great. Janice and Peter emote like no one else. Sounds like the guitar was always supposed to be there. I'd mention floyd, but he does such a good job blending in that I wouldn't have noticed, which is what BGVs are supposed to do, right?  The only thing that has me puzzled is why Bud gets credit for the photo, but Janice gets no credit for being in the photo?  That thoughtful and positive review is much appreciated. Glad you liked the mix. When I revisit old mixes I’m always overwhelmed with “what the heck was I thinking “ moments. I (Bud) much agree with you regarding Janice and Peter’s interplay and a delighted you mentioned it. And, she and floyd have had that nice blend since they first sang together. Hey, Janice is very, very modest but I’ll check with her on crediting my photos. 😀 Thanks again for all the supportive remarks. J&B

Janice's voice sounds incredibly clear, here. The arrangement is pro level, including Peter's guitar soli - wow  The mix is crisp and clear in its texture, if that makes sense. Well done, everyone, a beautiful song, and an excellent performance.
