I love BIAB. It's all ya need.

420 Bass, Electric, Blues Sw 120
421 Guitar, Electric, Rhythm Blues Sw 120
425 Organ, B3, Background Blues Sw 120
RealDrums: BluesShuffleHard

I played leads/licks/solos
S-Gear amp sim. AIO SC77 for most of it. The last half of the outro is a PRS DGT SE.

BETWEEN BONAMASSA AND THE KINGS

heat from a 12 bar fire
the horns were blowin jazz
the blues were oozin
outta every move that woman had
ya lost her somewhere
between bonamassa and the kings

screamin, slidin six strings
a bass strong and low
a rhythmic, shufflin backbeat
that never let's ya go
ya lost her somewhere
between bonamassa and the kings

some howlin wolf, a little bb
preachin from larkin poe
albert, freddie, the girl was ready
for some blues with her rock'n'roll
ya lost her somewhere
between bonamassa and the kings

no-no-no no girlie pop songs
no top 10 radio jive
stevie ray vaughan
the thrill is gone
that's what brings the girl alive
she's lost somewhere
between bonamassa and the kings

she knows what's cool and trending
but won't give up control
singin bots and ai slop
no heart, no soul
so she'll stay somewhere
between bonamassa and the kings

hot - a 12 bar fire
the horns were blowin jazz
the blues were oozin
outta every move that woman had

ya lost her somewhere
between bonamassa and the kings

Have at it.

Hi, floyd jane.

Well, now I know how to pronounce Bonamassa's name properly. wink

It's blues played by a hot band with an excellent lead guitarist.

Love it!

Bonus points for a whole lot of name dropping. laugh

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?

I check the forum often just in case something like this gets posted. My kind of music! You named quite a few of my favorites - for most of my adult life, blues was the only genre I listened to (and played). Great singing, great playing, love the lyrics, a total winner!

Well, you know I'm going to love this! Right up my alley.

Fun write, great groove, and nice playing too, you have come a long way since you started on this adventure. Good tone, phrasing, and note choices, right in the pocket.

Perfect!

Great job, Floyd. Super write and love your playing. Nice arrangement, great use of the organ for adding texture. Great vocals, too!

BiaB is ALMOST all you need: Having a load of talent is helpful, and...you got it. smile

Floyd,

Unlike some of the others who've commented, I have to admit to not being a blues girl and yet, I know a good song when I hear one. This was smokin'. Love the character, love the shuffle. Love your expressive voice on it. Great line: "singin bots and ai slop no heart, no soul" I appreciate your artistry.

Hi Floyd,

Love shuffle blues! A really nice lyric. Very creative use of words. But that's what you do. And it so damned good.

You might consider giving that lead guitar guy a raise - he outdid himself.

Everything is A++

nice!!!

Alan

High-class namedropping and a mysterious woman - an excellent base for a blues song. Great grooving rhythm provided by BIAB, the organ fits perfectly. Excellent guitar playing honors the masters. And good vocals show that the thrill is not gone, it has just arrived.

Amazing blues, and if you had written that the solo was by Brent, I'd say "Of course it was Brent".
Really well played, all the right notes and nothing more, with a great tone.

First piano, now guitar – if you keep going at this pace, you won't need BIAB anymore soon.
Floyd the drummer.

Floyd, an excellent wordsmith/story teller, arranger, vocalist, and now an outstanding guitarist.
You can do it all my friend.
As usual everything is perfect.
Loved that groove and the song

With just the right amount of delay & reverb....keys to the kingdom.
You've come a long way it a short time...though I've no idea of your real starting point.
I did anticipate a horn section at some point due to the lyric but that was neither essential nor missed.

Wailing on the way out too.

A dance track in the best sense.

Cheers

Brilliant song lyrically and a great production. The theme totally demanded the 3 solos which I 100% enjoyed. Excellent stuff.
