Steve, I'm glad you came through unscathed and are able to share both your experiences and most importantly your music. Although I didn't serve I lost a number of friends while some came home damaged from that war.
This was a fantastic piece of music.

One of your best. MarioD- I got hurt in Iraq (helicopter incident). But I'm still here. Nobody came home the same. So many of my friends did multiple (3 and even more). But for my time there, OIF 5-7, we, the 4ID Band, all did come back home. Took a few of us longer to decompress from it all. This song, and a few others, are the result of the experience. As I approach the 20th anniversary of that deployment, I've found myself looking back at old pictures. I really wanted to get a good of recording of this song for my sons. When we were playing music, it was as therapeutic for us as it was our audience. Music is awesome! Thanks for giving it a listen.
