Hey Folks I've not been around much lately, as you probably already know. There's a big legal issue with property Di and I own high in the mountains of Colorado - almost 10,000 feet up. It's a big mess. I've been out there twice, but I think it's almost resolved now. Hope so! And there are many other things that need to be done when your spouse passes away. Almost done with that, too. I've written three new instrumentals but can't get them recorded. For some reason, Audacity fails to pick up the input when I run the tracks through. I've tried it on three different computers (Windows 11) and get the same results. I've downloaded it twice again and reinstalled it with the same results. The Audacity folks can't figure it out, either. Anyway, I'm taking the easy way out and reposting one of Di's songs that was last commented on about 6 years ago. I'm simply referring back to that original post with the previous comments. Sorry for not be able to do better. But I thought some of the newer folks might want to hear what a lovely voice she had. I don't have a list of the original tracks. I can only tell you it was recorded in late 2011 on BIAB version 11.5 That's about all I have for you until I can figure out the Audacity issue. Alan, lovely song, beautifully sung. Great to hear Di on the forum again, and I had not heard this original before. Super backing track. Not hearing anything but a jazz trio here, and it's perfect. Nice solo, too.
Sorry for your estate and Audacity issues. Know these will pass. Great to see you back here as well, and looking forward to the new songs.

Wow! We remember that song and after listening a couple of times we went back to have a look at what we previously wrote about it.
We could not add anything to our previous thoughts:
"Yowzers! That is steamin'.
Anybody with a whit of soul walking down a sidewalk and hearing this
would go inside the venue ... and stay a while.
An absolutely wonderful vocal that is supported so well by the lyric and your guitar.
As we oft say a production, irrespective of genre, either has soul or it doesn't.
This has it in spades.

Wow, and wow again! I've been watching Ken Burns' Jazz documentary (20 hours!) and Di can take her place among any of the lady luminaries featured in that film. What a voice! More, please!

.fj Hi Floyd, Yeah, I can pull up one of her many vocals any time I want. That's such a comfort. I miss her everyday voice around the house, though. That's gonna take a bit more time. She did, indeed, have a special vocal talent. Her parents and former two husbands would tell to shut up, in so many words, when she would start singing around the house. So, she never thought she had a decent voice. What a shame. I'm so glad I got her to start singiung again. She was atreasure. Best to you, Alan

I'm happy for you that she lives on in your music Mr. Thomas, I'm glad you stopped by for a visit and listen. yes, her voice was pure magic. I had the pleasure of hearing her sing almost every day for fifteen years. That was special - very special. I'm glad I have so many recordings of her singing. I have many more than I choose not to post here, as they are cover songs. I realize the requirements to post here don't say you can't post songs here made using music tracks not created by BIAB, but they imply that. But I have dozens of originals and cover songs of her vocals that most folks here on the site haven't heard. Thank you for the visit and kindness. Alan
