I'd forgotten about the Monitoring FX ability of Reaper. This is a great location for the virtual studio plugins as anything that happens in Monitoring FX is not rendered to the final mix. Kenny Gioia's video explains some of the uses of this FX location.

Just a few days ago, though, I bought a collection of plugins from Waves that allow modelling three world-famous studios when mixing in headphones. The Virtual Studio Collection is on special until the end of July (2025). Normally US$379 it's current price is US$99.

I'm passing on the information in case it is useful.

P.S. I'm loving the CLA (Chris Lord-Alge) studio. There are three different sets of speakers modelled that give some insight into how a son will sound with different speaker set-ups. If anyone is interested in finding out about this virtual studio, there are plenty of clips on YouTube. I found the one below worth watching.
