The channel-swap and remix of the smooth jazz/rock version of the song. I think I've definitely done a better remix than the original, but it's Lucy Rod's vocals which really make it stand out. Note: there's another Lucy Rod (Rodriguez) who has a YouTube channel, but she appears to be an American, while this Lucy is Argentinean, as is Denisse Ferrara of the 'rock' version.

As with the 'rock' version the full lyrics are on the YouTube post, so please click on the 'Watch On YouTube' for those - though most here on this forum will already be familiar with them. Other than the title and end title images this video is identical to that of the 'rock' version so as not to detract from the music and lyrics.

Cast in order of appearance:
Drums: Country Rock Guitar Solo Pop Ba ~ Brian Fullen
Bass Guitar: Bricks Indie Rock w Guitar Solo ~ Tobin Frank
Piano: East Dock Latin Fusion Gtr Solo ~ Jeff Lorber
Vocals: real human being ~ Lucy Rod
1st Organ: Scroll Funky Blues Organ ~ Charles Treadway
Guitar: Slow Jazz Rock w Soloist ~ Andy Reiss
2nd Organ: Country Rock Guitar Solo Pop Ba ~ Gene Rabbai
BiaB Backing Vocals: Speakeasy Old Time Vocal Jazz ~ Britt Savage
Tenor Sax Solo: Verdite Light Soul Pop Sax Solo ~ Mark Douthit
Silence (synth): Jovian Divine Alt Rock Multi ~ uncredited
Organ Solo: Scroll Funky Blues Organ ~ Charles Treadway (6 part hybrid)

4/4 ~ C ~ 95 bpm ~ 156 bars ~ 6:43

I found your song in my head this morning shortly after waking up, Chay. Not sure which one I like better. I really liked Denisse's voice, but Lucy's is also very pleasant. Guess it comes down to whichever mood the moment. Are you familiar with the artists Yaima? I think you'd like 'em. Pepper is the vocalist and sounds a lot like Lucy.

I think I've written this somewhere before, but your songs really work great with vocals.
Enjoyed my listen!

Thanks, Beth. I'd never heard of Yaima, but you're right, the vocalist does sound a lot like Lucy. Having my song in your head first thing is a great compliment! Thanks again. I'm often surprised at what music I find in my head shortly after getting up, but it's nearly always relevant.

Gratitude, B.D. I'm currently extremely frustrated as besides others in the pipeline I have 2 songs' music ready for me to sing, though I'd need some female backing vocals; and 2 songs definitely for a female vocalist, but I have to sing and record a demo version first so that whoever knows how to sing it, but where I live makes loud recording impossible. I've recently discovered that a brilliant guitarist I knew in m teens back in the 60s lives relatively close to me, so I'm going to try to contact him in hope that he has a home studio as I know he was still performing at least into is 40s - though our 40s was 30 years ago!

Gracias, Bob! Mucho appreciated.
I've no idea why I'm suddenly using Spanish, but it might be down to that I can pass wind in 3 other languages, besides my native English, one of them being Mexican Spanish. That and Japanese appear to be the result of eating too much dark chocolate and of late I've been hearing areba-reba-reba!

Chay, love the bell-like character of Lucy's vocals. The harmonies are quite nice, too. I totally agree with the notion that your songs sound great with a vocalist. Mix is stellar as always. Nice one!

Thanks Ron! Yep, I totally hope to use Lucy again - I have one song pretty much ready for her - but it's so frustrating where I live as I can't record anything loud here, plus I now want to be concentrating on songs as opposed to instruemntals as I have a few ready to be sung.

OH, YES!! Lucy is the perfect choice, and the song is elevated to the over-the-top level. Man, when that sax comes in... well done, Chay. Organ also came in nicely --although I was anticipating vocals there. I like your choice. And the flowing lady brings it home.

Thanks, Dave! I've more sung songs in the pipeline, but as I first noted re my life way back in 1974, "It's as if there's a power far greater than my ego which has a veto over various aspects of my life." I've long since come across quote by famous names in completely different fields who acknowledge the same: Carl Jung, Albert Einstein and Ramana Maharshi. Anything, positive or negative, can happen out of the blue, including projects being successful with very little of no effort, or being stopped by against all of the odds anomalous events.
