When Janice first read the lyric it brought tears and she said that this was such a beautiful ode to life’s journey. We could quote the entire lyric but these lines really grabbed us:
“I am just a shadow on the Edge of the light
Walking through memories that slip out of sight
Looking for shelter a place to hide
Before the Ferryman takes me to the other side”
Chris sings with such conviction and attitude and with a tone that is beautiful.
And the harmonies from you both sound great.
The guitar is superb and we loved that repeating phrase.
As you mentioned Marty’s bass is standout.
Cool mystical video too.
And as always the mix is great with a nice soundstage

VERY cool on all levels. Heaviosity in many ways.
I found Chris' description off putting: the sort of thing written by A&R/PR rather than the artist.
That was a minor & momentary distraction as the music grabbed me full attention.

Another treat from the terrific trio. When you three get together, its magic. What's not to like about this recording. Tell Chris I especially like the last five lines of the lyric. Fantastic. I'll let her know, Scott, thanks! MAN! Y'all make Good Music!!!
Chris is in top form (isn't she always?). She can Write Rock. She can Sing Rock. Love when she lets loose...
Marty sounds so good I had to immediately replay the song because almost from the beginning, that perfect bass sound caught my ear - and would not let it go. I heard nothing else. Mesmerizing. I did not need to be told to pay attention.
Very nice guitar work, Dave. Cool theme. Cool restraint. Cool guitar guy...
So. Fine.
fj As far as showing restraint goes, one of the things I've learned in my old age is that the guitar solo is not the most important part of the song. Who knew?  Thanks very much, Floyd, I'll pass your comments along to Chris.

Hi, Dave. What they said - big, beautiful sounding blues. Strong guitar hooks, powerful vocals, and lyrics to match. Great stuff!  I admit a similar reaction to Chris' write-up as David did: City of Dreams is a thoughtful and atmospheric ballad...It's not wrong, it just made me laugh because of course it's thoughtful.

I really enjoyed the dark and profound lyrics, "I am just a shadow on the Edge of the light/Walking through memories that slip out of sight" - I can really FEEL with shiverings the atmosphere of this journey through time and places. Amazing storytelling.
Great band and enjoyable mix. Dave knows how to use the Force to get the best out of his "lightsaber". Marty knows the magic how to live blues through his solid bass. Chris's voice is the star of Life in Blue Attitude's unique universe, full of light, warmth and energy.
The climax of the song when Dave's riff continues and Chris sings above it with more passion and power is really captivating.

You, Chris and Marty have really created something very special with this song. It's excellent. Your productions and your performances are always outstanding, and this sits very comfortably alongside everything I've ever heard from you. Marty's bass is a hand-in-glove fit. Perfect! He really has the knack for this style. And I loved Chris's lyrics and singing. She has done an awesome job.
