Hi Bob and Joliz!
That guitar coupled with the other instruments provides a great support for your poetic lyrics and melody. The first thing I noticed was the cello. It conveys a real human quality to the music in support of both your voices, and with it a touch of sadness. It caused me to have a closer look at the lyrics - at first I had a sense that that there was a kind of solitude and unfulfillment about the story ('We pass it like the dreams we had'), but then I noticed two things: 'we' appeared several times, indicating some kind of partnership or shared experience; and there is a sense of moving forwards through the song lyrics - a journey if you will. In this context, I felt there was more hope than I first thought. Maybe I'm wrong.
I'm intrigued by the line 'and we follow the night with an open hand' and wonder what the open hand signifies?

If I'm digging this deep, it's a good song. Well done to you both!

Andrew
