Prior to the channel-swap and remix this was called "Dance of the You Tribe", but now the music makes it rain about 2/3 through. From my previous notes:

The Yu tribe occupy the Isle of Yu on planet Safra - as in my "Isle of Yu Train Ride" instrumental - and when played on traditional instruments this dance tune is supposed to bring rain, but as there are no Yu folk on this planet it's not guaranteed to work. So if the listener finds it suddenly raining you're either unlucky, or lucky, but either way I can't take any responsibility for it. However, if you play it outdoors, please take an umbrella.

In this remix I've taken out one of the 2 drum stems, plus 1 rhythm guitar and as a result it's a bit cleaner than the original.

Drums: a hybrid of 2: Country Rock Solo Pop Ba - Brian Fullen - and Nashville Radio Power Ballad Solo ~ Miles McPherson
Synth Bass: Murk Cinematic Retro Pop ~ Ed 'Great Oz' Clare
Guitar: Key Island Groove Quartet ~ Mike Durham
Bass: Country Rock Solo Pop Ba ~ Tobin Frank
Organ: Country Rock Solo Pop Ba~ Gene Rabbai
Synth Pad: Atmosphere Chillout ~ Blair Masters
Electro Flute: ElectroFlute Pop Ballad ~ Miles Black
Piano: Deep Zen New Age Chillout ~ Miles Black
1st Guitar Solo: July Summer Pop Gtr Solo ~ Danny Rader
2nd Guitar Solo: Nashville Radio Power Ballad Solo ~ Danny Rader
Bell Pad/Synth2: J-Pop Karaoke Ballad ~ Miles Black
3rd Guitar Solo: Slow Jazz Rock w Soloist ~ John Herrington
Fiddle Solo: Modern Celtic Reel Fiddle Solo ~ Andy Leftwich

Wow, I really enjoyed that! I have a hard time believing that there isn't any MIDI in this--you have chosen the RT's so expertly! I especially liked the very beginning--that engaging rhythm and the (I think) eighth-note pattern. The only thing I think didn't fit so well was the fiddle--a little too much of the celtic flavor that I think takes away from the feel that you were creating. However, quite masterful! Great post!

Thanks, Bob. I tried to change the 2nd guitar solo for a bit more diversity, but I couldn't find anything else that worked.

Thanks, Tano. I'm glad you liked it. Re the fiddle, I think it comes down to personal taste as when I posted the original about a year ago I remember someone saying they liked the fiddle best, though that may have been my sister on FB who loves Celtic instrumentation.

Hi Chay!
I love that synth bass and island rhythm guitar - both set a great framework for the rest of the instruments. I didn’t mind the fiddle, but would easily be persuaded for it to be replaced by a second lead guitar solo of the same standard as the first. I’ll listen to this again!

As an aside, I note a lot of your videos have images of young, athletic-looking women - as I’m relatively new to the forum, I wonder if I’ve missed a broader story of their meaning in your videos? Is there a bigger narrative that your songs underpin?

Fun tune! When the thunder came in I thought your song had broken my speakers. Ha! That fiddle outro is intense and SO nice.

Appreciate your description of what you've taken out of the mix. The more I do this the more I realize that having the courage to take stuff out, especially the stuff you like, is frequently necessary to serve the song. I'm not feeling like anything is missing here, so...well done!

Chay, this is an outstanding piece of music. You have the skills to mix and blend various instruments in to a masterpiece and this is a masterpiece.
You have produce some great music but IMHO this is your best to date.
Loved it.

Thanks, Andrew! In answer to your question, the two keynotes of my life have been creativity and the quest to know (not believe or have an opinion about) our true natures and why there is this miraculous phenomena of Life (which to me is synonymous with Consciousness), so the latter quest has always manifested in my creativity which has been songwriting and poetry, graphics (in my teens I attended art college) music and novel and novella writing. Very unsuccessful sales-wise, in 2013 I self-published a 'trilogy-length epic sci-fi gnostic quest adventure' titled "Quest of the Solar Flower" (it has a brilliant review on US Amazon), but it was a vast mistake to self-publish and not go via trade publisher as one is in competition with literally millions and millions of other self-publishers and with no real way of managing self-promotion. In that novel is a super-advanced alien civilisation, both technologically and spiritually, the planet name, the title of the leader and the leader herself all being Deya (Goddess). So the Deya character in many of my CGI/3D modelling images and the 'Deya' in some of my titles is all connected to the Divine Feminine. I also first began 3D modelling in 2013 in order to create covers for my book and my model of the Deya is the closest I can come to how I visualise her in the book. In the title image of the video the lady on the far left is Aya, the first successful female character that I morphed, but when I used her for the cover of an unpublished book of my song lyrics a lady friend said she was exactly how she imaged one of the key females in the book, so I also use her on my novel' s cover. My instrumentals "Aya Rocks" and "Aya Rocks V2: Sun Train" are inspired by her. 'Venus' also appears in a number of my music titles - next weekend I'll post a new Venus track - and to me Venus represents the Love aspect of the Divine Feminine, ranging through all of the various qualities of love from what I call non-interpersonal passion, through the romantic and more, to Divine Love. If you check out the 'About' on my You-Tube channel it explains in a nutshell where I'm coming from. I also have an instrumental called "Quan Yin", the Chinese Buddhist 'womanifestation' of the Divine Feminine. My lyrics in the versions of "Flowing Lady Deya" are all directly from my own very real experiences of the DF. … PS: I also have 2 instrumentals with 'Sophia' in the title and she's the Divine Feminine of the Greek Gnostics.

Wow, thanks, Ron. In the original was the Clouds Danceable throbbing drums (I never make note of the Style numbers!) which really suited the music, but deleting it made everything else that bit clearer. I deleted a 2nd rhythm guitar for the same reason.

Thanks for that brief but brilliant review, Mario, though this track isn't in my list of favourites and I wouldn't personally call it a 'masterpiece' as there's one part I'd still like to improve on. You're forgetting that Zen koan I mentioned once before: a man goes to a fishmonger and says "Give me the best piece of fish you have!" The fishmonger replies, "It's ALL he best!" smile

Thanks Chay - I wondered if there was a larger narrative afoot here. I love hearing people's back story, rather than just relying on snippet insights from their posts. There's a person and a story behind every piece of music. It's a pity there isn't more room for this info in each member's profile, but I guess there could be links to other sites with this detail.

My goodness, you're talented on several levels - it's good to see how you help the listener with illustrations.

Nicely done, Chay. Cool changes to this one, too. I hear the rain. Man, it always makes me say a silent WOW which actually represents a HUGE WOW in my mind, whenever I hear how well you change the soloists. So realistic. I like the buiold on this one. The rain effects might be too much, but I got used to them. They too are very realistic.

Enjoy whatever happens!

We were a bit hesitant to play it as we've had record amount of rain this week,
But we did and much enjoyed it. smile

Cool vibe and as always a good build.

Nice session group with in the pocket solos.

And the mix is excellent on our Kalis.

Well done!

Thanks, Marty! I initially had the rain pouring longer, but I realised that to some it might sound like audio distortion so I cut it as short as I could.

Thank you J&B! I am sooooooooooooo envious of your Kalis! I've got to get me a new hi-fi system and new PC speakers as although I get great sound on headphones via my Bose speakers I just can't get decent sound when played via the speakers. Bose are good for top and bottom, but are totally lacking in the middle.
