Thanks, Marty! Yeah, I go back and forth on whether Georgia is her name or the state the narrator is in (which it was in the real life version). Glad you enjoyed it!

Thanks you, David! Thanks as well for the DM follow up, and the reminder about Billy Joel's "New York State of Mind". Those were the days!

Love your vocal! Maybe a little too much de-essing, but not a big deal.

Good write, and love your mix!

THANKS, Dave. Yeah, I might have over torqued the de-essing bolt on this one. Tried to be surgically precise but sometimes it seems more like a weed whacker. Glad you enjoyed it anyway!

Thanks, Scott. Different for sure! The lyrics have a poignancy that just crush me, and reveal a lot about both the girl and the narrator. Very artful. I love doing harmonies. The last chorus has a low harmony, a technique I underuse, but I like the way it turned out. THANKS for listening!

Props to your brother for the very funny lyrics.

I'm not sure if the exact word to apply to this style of humor, is it sardonic?? Very deadpan too.

It's definitely not "on the nose" and it's my favorite style of humor. Great job and really nice production man.

Why, THANKS, David! There is a sad, wistful humor in the lyrics that I find quite endearing. The humor here can certainly be "sardonic" if that's what you hear. But in my internalizing of the lyrics, they're more "wry", which is a similar but gentler humor to my way of thinking. Either way...glad you liked it!
