Unlike some of the others who've commented, I have to admit to not being a blues girl and yet, I know a good song when I hear one. This was smokin'. Love the character, love the shuffle. Love shuffle blues! A really nice lyric. Very creative use of words. But that's what you do. And it so damned good.
You might consider giving that lead guitar guy a raise - he outdid himself.

Excellent guitar playing honors the masters. And good vocals show that the thrill is not gone, it has just arrived.
