I've got several different iterations of Kontakt Player on my computer because of those kinds of requirements. Some are just so I can use ONE specific Kontakt instrument.
I still have Kontakt 5, Kontakt 6 and Kontakt 7 along with the current Kontakt 8 installed for the same reason. I haven't had to use anything but Kontakt 8 for some time, but I know that as soon as I uninstall the older versions, I'll need one. That said, I don't have 7 TB of SSD storage for Kontakt. I have it for the sample libraries and BiaB.


I think I have K-4 through K-8 with different sample libraries working with different players. I tend to use 7 more than the others due to the piano it has in it.
