WAS is the default Audio Driver type in the program, so when you do a return ALL to factory settings, delete preference files for a hard factory reset or do a full uninstall and reinstall (and occasionally as a result of a Windows update), WAS will be the Audio Driver type, but as you noted you can always change this to your preferred of MME or ASIO from under Options | Preferences | Audio under Audio Driver Type from the drop down. You seem very familiar with this already so this is more so for anyone who happens across this and wonders the same thing as you. smile
