Another Hot Day Here

Another Hot Day Here is me just having some fun.

BiaB Style - Lionel -(Brushes) 40s Swing Ballad
Tempo - 75 BPM
Bass - Ample Bass - preset - upright
Strings - Kontakt - Pure Jazz Vibes
Utility 1 - Lounge Lizard - preset - Tine - Mellow Five

Drums - Groovemonkee MIDI drum loops - Steven Slates' SSD-5 preset - Jazz drums brushes.

My guitar is my Jay Turser Jazz bpx.
These old arthritic fingers had a hard time playing the rhythm guitar. Thankfully Melodyne came to the rescue and fixed my mistakes. I am also playing the lead guitar and via my breath and keyboard controller the Swam tenor sax.

If you are interested in wanting to know how/why I came up with that title keep reading.

For the last couple of weeks it has been running hotter than normal here. When it gets this hot I can not longer work outside so I stay inside in the air conditioning and make music. The past two days it has been colder than normal so I got outside. Today it rained so I could finish this song.

Mario,

Love the laid back groove...

Your Jay Turser sounds awesome as does the sax. Stellar mix!

Mario, love this style of laid back jazz guitar wizardry, and I love what you've done with this song. Great backing track and really nice playing on all instruments. Like where you've placed the octaves, Wes would be proud. No arthritic effects audible to this listener. Just an especially cool jazz excursion. smile

Looks like nice weather in Hamlin this afternoon. Enjoy the day!

Hi Mario!
Those keys with long held notes - they could almost make you hear the evaporation, and that 75 BPM made me feel very lethargic, just like a hot humid day does.

Mario,

I love these Smooth Pop pieces you do so well. The guitar sounds excellent - good tone and interpretation of the feel for the song. And you and your wind controller constitute a full band in and of themselves. You do this stuff exceedingly well. Thanks for a terrific listen!

Best to you,

Alan

So...another hot, rainy day. Man, you know how to cook, Mario. I LOVE that tasteful lead guitar. The sax says it slow as if pushing too many key pads would make them melt. Wonderfully said. You know, if we play this song on one of those deep snow days, it'll warm us right up.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Unfortunately you happened to check in during the short time the song was deleted. It didn't sound right so I deleted it, remixed it, then posted it again. It should be OK now but if not please let me know.

Thanx so much Ron. You didn't hear and arthritic effect because I had Melodyne take them all out. Yep good weather and in fact I am taking a short break from working right now.

Thanx Andrew. I'm sorry my song made you lethargic. I guess I'll have to do a song about Geritol wink

Thanx Alan for this super review. I try to get a different feel in each of my songs. I should add you only hear the ones that I think I have accomplished it.

Thanx so much Marty. I'm glad you liked my guitar chops, that means a lot to me.
PS - If this song melts your PA snow let me know and I'll try it on my NY snow smile

Ah, that unique, laidback Mario sound which always conjures movie scenes for me. You are very definitely a champion swammer! Love the tenor sax.

Nice, mellow stuff, Mister MIDI Maestro. Those Swam people know what they're doing. Great horn sounds! I'd like a nap now, but I've got a bunch of forum tracks to review. Oh, well.

Thanx Chay. I'm not really a champion swammer but just a hack trying to learn. But thanx for the compliment.

Man, we love this jazz club vibe.

Everything sounds great and of course you performances are spectacular.
And we love a sax solo and your's is sublime.

Hot day or not (and we are having one after another) we much enjoyed this!

Thanx Janice and Bud, I'm glad that you liked it. Things have cooled down here so I am doing a lot of outside work.

Thanx Beth. I don't know how I do it either as I just play what I feel and with BiaB I find that easy to do.
