Hi Chay.
Wow! You've really pulled out all stops with this. It's a very engaging instrumental. You audio-surgical work with the guitars and the harmonicas is very, very impressed. If you had not said anything, I would never have known that you'd constructed hybrid solos. There's an awful lot of arranging and production skills on show here. Amazing work! This is very impressive on many levels.

Anyone can construct an entire musical piece in BIAB, but I doubt anyone can do it with such aplomb. This is one of the best examples I've heard so far. Great job. Thanks for that great response, Ghostgum - though I'm not keen on "Anyone can" as you can say that about any art form: anyone can draw, paint, sculpt, song-write, write poetry, write a book, write a screenplay, etc, etc, but the reality is not anyone can.

Sometimes solos - but sometimes also rhythm section instruments - come out perfect on the 1st generation, but so often even the best regenerations contain mediocre phrasings, so it's either produce something that works in part, but doesn't in others, or create hybrids so that the best phrases from different generations work together. One instrumental I finished a couple of weeks ago needed a strong and dynamic guitar solo for the climax of the piece and there was only one Style which had the right sound, but all of the more dynamic phrasings were in earlier parts of the entire sample, so I kept on regenerating the solo until I had 4 with climactic sections in the final bars and then I cut and pasted them together and it's now a short but super climax ending. It just wouldn't have worked had I not done that. Also, just today I've finished a movie soundtrack style instrumental which starts with a solo rhythm section piano, but it needs that piano to play a melodic chorus 4 times and samples just won't repeat the same notes in the same order, so I ended up creating a 6-part hybrid just for the rhythm section piano. There are also 4 perfect notes played 38 seconds in and I needed those same notes in the following bar. It took me 4 attempts to paste the same notes into the next bar so that the following notes played as if natural follow-ons. The 1st 3 attempts failed as there were jolts where the 'pasted' notes didn't flow with what came before or after, so it's sometimes hard work, but it's always worth it when it comes together.

A showcase in the User Showcase for demonstrating the power of BiaB ... in talented hands. All the tracks are so very cohesive ... nothing to add and nothing to take away. The solos are cool and the bass does an excellent job of laying down the foundation.
Well done!

When I get such good feedback on this forum it's so sad to get lesser than average views on YouTube. As Dave Bell once wrote, it's even more annoying when lesser tracks get great YT views and the better ones don't!

Nice instrumental piece, I especially like how you used the different solo guitars to keep me interested. Well done.

Very well constructed instrumental! I like the foundation of the bass and organ, and the way you build on top of that. Guitar is right on the money, interesting to read how you constructed that. Harmonica sounds good too! Nicely done.

Chay,
As Janice & Bud say, this track is like a model for the User Showcase. The guitar and harmonica solos have been carefully chosen. The video is also interesting, with an elaborate storyline, in which a cheating man gets scolded by his girlfriend, who then chooses a same-sex partner. Enjoyed my listen and watch a lot.
Best regards.

A very nicely conceived, constructed, and presented piece! My favorite parts were the first lead guitar riff and the bass throughout. sounds terrific all the way from beginning to end.

In the original video from last year the final image was just of the girl getting rid of the unfaithful guy, so this time around I decided she should end up with the last girl the guy was ogling!

Your music is always a pleasure to hear! Alan Appreciated, Alan. I didn't really notice that the bass guitar was so key as I nearly always use the same guy, though sometimes from different Styles, but I took special note as so many commenting here made a reference to it. Tobin Frank plays some really nice sequences on it.
