The images in this rock instrumental's video depict the progress of a new relationship in 4 stages. Will it succeed or fail?

This is the first instrumental I've done in BiaB in which I couldn't find a single solo which was consistently good throughout, so the opening and closing guitar solos are hybrids of 2 solos and the middle harmonica solo is a hybrid of 3.

Drums: 3 Guitar Country Rock ~ Brian Fullen
Bass Guitar: Country Rock Guitar Solo, Pop Ba ~ Tobin Frank
Organ: Country Rock Guitar Solo, Pop Ba ~ Gene Rabbai
1st Rhythm Guitar: Rock Guitar Solo, Pop Ba ~ Mike Durham
1st Guitar Solo: Jovian Divine Alt Rock Soloing ~ Brent Mason
2nd Rhythm Guitar: Centaur Gtr Solo Hard Rock Bal ~ Darin Favorite
Harmonica Solo: hybrid of 2 parts Wounded Ev Fiery Harmonica Blues & 1 part Vicksburg Harmonica Even-8 Blues ~ L. D. Miller
3rd & 4th Rhythm Guitars: Jovian Divine Alt Rock Soloing ~ Mike Durham
5th & 6th Rhythm Guitars: Nashville Radio Power Bal Solo ~ Danny Rader
2nd Guitar Solo: Nashville Radio Power Bal Solo ~ Danny Rader

WaoBand,

From what I could gather in the video, the young man's wandering eye caused him a considerable amount of grief! Hopefully he survived!
Musically, you've done a very nice job arranging this piece! Very good instrument choices that all seem to flow together well! My favorites are the bass you chose with just the right amount of growl and the first guitar solo! Great job!

Thanks, TB

Hi, Chay.

That's a well-built instrumental.

Chay,

Another superbly crafted piece of music. The guitars are mixed so well. Each has their own space and you can really experience and appreciate the different tones.

As always, so well done!

Chay, I love the changes into and out of those minor key(?) sections. Well done!

Chay, very cool exploration of the theme. The guitar solos are quite smooth and don't betray their constructed origins. Creative and effective use of the harmonica soloist. Super backing track and mix. A very well crafted and enjoyable musical journey.

I enjoyed this Chay..what I most liked were the parts where you let the rhythm section roll without a solo, maybe for 4 bars at a time. It made me think of a relentless, rolling sea (I admit I didn't watch the video). You have a great skill in selecting just the right RT's and integrating them so pleasingly into a whole. Excellent production!

Chay, that was brilliant! As usual the mix was perfect. Super job on those guitar solos.
The message at the end is one more people should learn.
Loved it.

Well done, Chay. Most solos I have to coax from BiaB require several measures of regeneration. You made your solos very consistent, very real sounding. Man, you really do an excellent job on these instrumentals. Chords, and solos blend well in any style.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Thanks for the great response, Torrey. I use Tobin Frank's bass on probably the majority of my posts as it's always so good.

Thanks, Ron. I really like the L.D. Miller harmonica - I think it's extremely effective, plus masterfully played - but I know from other tracks I've used it on, not everyone agrees.

Thanks Tom. Those bridges between the solos are 8 bars each. I use that formula in some other tracks, but once I've got a chords structure sorted, or almost sorted, it's like what happens next creates itself - though that makes it sound easy, which it definitely isn't as 3-4 days is average for completing a piece, though very often I'll make minor adjustments until I upload to YouTube,

Thanks, Mario. Re the 'message at the end' in all my life I've only known a couple of guys who played the field while in a steady relationship - it always appalled me - but I've known at least 3 times as many women doing the same. I assume it's because females get chased way more often than males and so they take advantage of it. Via a an old lady-friend I have some exact figures which are mind-blowing! laugh

Thanks, Floyd. Totally agree re the Tobin Frank bass. He's my most used bassist.

Thanks, Marty. As you know, and as in this track, I often have to create hybrids of solos by cutting and pasting the best parts as I usually find that when the original generation doesn't do the job throughout then neither will any other. But it's also surprising how often the 1st generation does do the job and further generations aren't nearly as good or are actually awful.

Anyone can construct an entire musical piece in BIAB, but I doubt anyone can do it with such aplomb. This is one of the best examples I've heard so far. Great job.

202 New RealTracks Released with Band-in-a-Box 2026!

With Band-in-a-Box® 2026, we've released 202 incredible new RealTracks (in sets 468-488) in a variety of genres—featuring your most requested styles!

Jazz, Funk & World (Sets 468-475):
Our new jazz, funk & blues RealTracks include a groovin’ collection of RealTracks and RealDrums! These include more requested “soul jazz” RealTracks featuring artists Neil Swainson (bass), Charles Treadway (organ), Brent Mason (guitar), and Wes Little (drums). There are new “smooth jazz” styles (4), which include a RealTracks first: muted trumpet, as well as slick new smooth jazz brushes options for drums. Blues lovers will be thrilled—there are more “classic acoustic blues” styles, including guitar (5), bass (4), and drums (10) with blues master Colin Linden, featuring understated and tasty background acoustic soloing, plus brushes drums and acoustic bass. There are also new electric blues RealTracks, including electric blues with PG favorite Johnny Hiland (3) and soulful electric slide guitar from Colin Linden (4). If you love funk & gospel, there are great new options this year, including gospel organ (3) from Charles Treadway, as well as new funk, tango, and rock ’n’ roll drums (3) and bass (1). And for big, bold arrangements, we have uptempo soul horns (4) featuring a three-part hip horn section with options for a full mix or stems of each individual horn — plus an accompanying rhythm section (4) of drums, bass, guitar, and electric piano!

Rock & Pop (Sets 476–482):
Our new rock & pop RealTracks bring a powerful mix of requested favorites, fresh genres, and modern chart-inspired styles! We have more of our popular “Producer Layered Acoustic Guitars (15)” featuring Band-in-a-Box favorite Brent Mason. We’ve continued our much-requested disco styles (10), and added new Celtic guitar (5) with a more basic, accessible approach than our previous Drop-D or DADGAD offerings. There are also highly requested yacht rock styles (17), inspired by the smooth, polished soft-rock sound of the late ’70s and early ’80s — laid-back grooves, silky electric pianos, warm textures, elegant harmonic movement, and pristine production aesthetics. Fans of heavier styles will love our new glam metal (13), capturing the flashy, high-energy sound of ’80s arena-ready guitar rock. We also have a set of rootsy modern-folk rock (18), with a warm, organic sound combining contemporary folk textures and driving acoustic strumming. And we’ve added lots of new modern pop styles (16) — the kinds of sounds you’re hearing on the radio today, featuring exciting new drums, synths, and cutting-edge RealTracks arrangements.

Country, & Americana (Sets 483–488):
Our new country & Americana RealTracks deliver a rich collection of acoustic, electric, and roots-inspired styles! We have new country pop (9) with legendary guitarist Brent Mason. There is also a potpourri (14) of bouzouki, guitars, banjo, and more, perfect for adding texture and character to contemporary acoustic arrangements. We’ve added funky country guitar (5) with PG favorite Brent Mason, along with classic pedal steel styles (5) featuring steel great Doug Jernigan. There are more country songwriter styles (8) that provide intimate, rootsy foundations for storytelling and modern Americana writing. Finally, we have “background soloing” acoustic guitar (12) with Brent Mason — simpler, but still very tasty acoustic lines designed to sit beautifully behind vocals or act as a subtle standalone solo part.

Check out all the 202 new RealTracks (in sets 468-488)!

And, if you are looking for more, the 2026 49-PAK (for $49) includes an impressive collection of 20 bonus RealTracks, featuring exciting and inspiring additions to add to your RealTracks library. There are also new indie-folk styles with guitar, bass, 6-string bass used as a high-chording instrument, acoustic guitar, and banjo. Plus, dedicated "cymbal fills" RealDrums provide an added layer that work very well with low-key folky styles with other percussion.
