Hi Andy,

I run BIAB in Windows. In the PC version of the program, it is possible to select a bar or a range of bars and regenerate and instrument for just those bars.

To do this...

1) Select the bar(s) on the chordsheet (#1 on the image below) and press ALT+F8.
Instead of pressing ALT+F8, it's possible to right-click on a track in the mixer and select 'Track Actions' and then 'Regenerate Window'.
I'm not sure, but I think that ALT+F8 is Option+F8 on Macs

2) Select the instrument that you want to partially regenerate (#2).

3) Click on "Regenerate".
When you have obtained a regeneration that you are happy with, make sure to freeze the track to preserve it, Freezing will stop it being overwritten if you regenerate the song.

P.S. When you generate a song, and you like the generation, I suggest that you freeze all the tracks before you save the tracks to audio files. The will make sure that nothing changes.
