This would be a great option, because several of you said you would like it.

I'm not sure I would use it. When I read sheet music that has variable width measures to accommodate whatever amount of notes is in each, I find it surprisingly hard to follow. Sibelius does this, for example. I prefer to be able to specify a fixed number of measures per stave, each with a fixed width, and let the notes space-out as needed. The only exception I use regularly is for first or second endings, since you have not only the notes but repeat signs or double bar lines, plus the number of the ending, and all these things have to fit so I adjust those bars wider in my notation program.

Like many of our requests for BIAB, it would be great if it could be made an option, so everybody can be happy.
