2025 Mac version 902.
Song will play without a count in, but when you render a file it ads the count in. Then you've got to edit the file in a audio editor and delete the count in.
Is this the only option?

Band-in-a-Box always renders with a two bar lead in.
The two bars can be blank or include a count-in.
If you are using midi drums there is a preference setting to have or exclude the count in.
Realdrums sometimes includes an audio count in but sometimes they don't.
One way to exclude a Realdrum count in is to use two Realdrums with one having a count in while the other one does not. Use automated volume to hear the blank count in and not hear the audio count in then switch the volume controls at bar 1 to hear the Realdrums track you want to use.

I actually always add two measures of count-in on all my projects anyway. Since BB does it, I'm good.
However, in the final render that is finished and ready for prime time, I always use an Audio Editor to trim the count-in at the start and the silence at the end. All I want at the start is 500ms of silence..... and a hard stop at the exact end. An Audio Editor allows me to get that on every song.

I wonder if this is a Mac issue that should be reported in that sub-forum.
BiaB for PC will render stems with zero count-in. Those stems are not always useful though since some RealTracks play slightly in front of the beat, and those that do are simply cut off at the zero time marker, leaving an audible glitch.
I render stems using the count in, and then use Studio One's Marker Track to provide about one second of silence before and after the sound begins/ends.

UsTenor, It is necessary to go into the "Export Song as Audio File" dialogue and uncheck the the "include 2-bar lead-in" option. With the Windows version of the software, "Export Song as Audio File" is found under the "Audio" menu at the top at the program.
