Greetings. I have made a long transcription of an imported audio file. I designated more bars in the project than I needed so I am left with leftover bars that I want to delete. Also there is the usual "end" bar there. I have uploaded an image.

1. How to I keep BIAB from making this apparently obligatory "end" bar with an auto chosen chord?

2. How do I delete the unneeded bars # 115- 124? I want #114 to be the last bar in my transcription. When I highlight the non desired bars, right click and choose delete bars, some bars are deleted, but the BIAB "ending" stays and there is a gap between the non deleted bars and this retained ending. I clearly don't understand the concept of deletion and this "ending" that BIAB places.

Can you guide me? Thanks so much!

  • Go Song Settings (CTRL+N or right-click on the chordsheet and select it from the right-click menu)
  • Deactivate/uncheck "Generate 2-bar Ending'

  • Simply change the ending bar number to 114 in your song's set-up. The image below shows where to find that setting.

Oh Man, Noel your answers are always so CLEAR and right on the money. Bowing in appreciation!!

Those moves worked just perfectly. Thrilled.

I just did an import of the Beatles I Saw Her Standing There according to your previous guidance a ways back and it went flawlessly. I had written extensive notes so that I would not forget any of the moves for importing, manipulating and stem splitting. Set the 1st bar just fine. Equalized the tempo, analyzed the chords, changed the chords that were wrong and now cleaned up the end thanks to you. Next up is to split out the stems and then transcribe the bass part which I will write out in Guitar Pro 8. I'm chuffed!

Thank you so much.

I'm glad that everything worked smile

You sound like you are really getting the hang of things now! I'm impressed. Working with audio can be a bit daunting when you start out. You seem to have jumped that hurdle!

Have fun!
