Hi John,
Do you mean that you'd like to add another guitar RealTrack to your song? If you have an empty track in your song (Soloist, Strings, etc) you could just open up your RealTracks picker and assign the 2nd guitar to that empty track directly in Band in a Box. You can do it the other ways that you mention as well, but then you won't be able to take it back to Band in a Box afterwards.
