Paradise Island

You are sitting in a lawn chair, feet in the sand, drink in your hand, watching the ocean waves come to shore, and listening to the birds chirping. A short distance behind you is a tiki bar where a few local musicians are playing. The music is so good it seems like the gentle breeze is in tune with the song. This is Paradise Island.

BiaB Style - Karma - New Age Smooth Jazz
Tempo - 75 BPM
I deleted the string track
Bass - Ample Bass - Acoustic Bass - Preset -Vintage
Drums - Kontakt - Boomwhackers
Guitar - Kontakt - Steel Tones - Preset - 1 acoustic (Steel Drum)
Utility Track - Serenity 2 - preset - Chiming.
The waves and birds are also from Serenity 2.

I am playing my nylon string guitar and via my keyboard controller the marimba: Kontakt - PSI Marimba - Preset - Slow with Rolls.

As always all comments are welcomed.

FYI - Some listeners were expecting a song like this on my previous song, Phantasy Island, and were shocked that it wasn't. Thus I though that I should redeem myself ASAP laugh

I really enjoyed this, Mario. I sat back in my recliner and let it wash over me. Great work on the marimba, plus the SFX was just at the perfect volume level.

That's a nice one, Mario. Super composition and playing, and the use of the ambient sounds was just right. Very cool descending line on the ending, too. Consider yourself redeemed in my book!

Mario,

That nylon guitar has such a stunning tone. Love the marimba and the soft flow of the whole tune.

Excellent, excellent!

Hi Mario! This is a very relaxing tune. I sat back, closed my eyes, and I was there. I almost felt the sand between my … toes. That marimba was special, and the waves and bird life was a complimentary backdrop. Well done.

This brings up so many sensual memories: coconut suntan lotion, disembarking a cruise ship, that fun vacay vibe, feeling the warm sunlit waters and seeing all the little fishies swimming 'round my toes. Wonderful!

Instant vacation feeling.
Gentle, relaxing, and sounds good.
In three weeks, I'll be at the beach, so this is a good preparation smile

Thanx so much Chay. I'm glad you noticed the SFX volume as I played with those for quite awhile before I got the right mix.

Thanx Ron. As far as playing I do what I can with my arthritic fretting hand then have Melodyne do a little polishing.

Thanx Bob. Yes I get a pretty good sound out of that cheap nylon guitar. I am using a cheap guitar tuning piezo pickup. This song had a touch of EQ on it to cut down on the higher frequencies.

Thanx Beth. You accurately described our one and only cruise to the Caribbean Islands. I'm glad you liked it.

Nice groove on this one, Mario!

Marimba is nice, but the nylon string guitar is the star for me, love the tone!

I agree with Dave, the nylon guitar was the star here. Nice work!

Mellow to the max in the best way.

Great performances via your wonderful and mysterious smile ways of creating them.
The nylon and marimba were lovely.

A fine tune for our first cool weather in a long, long time.

Well done!
