I have been using Copilot at the top of the Edge browser to create images today, anyway the session ran out as I seemed to have had my quota
I then browsed to Aliexpress as I do buy some small items from there, but then later tried to get more images from Copilot only for it to suggest some images with references to what I had bought in Aliexpress.
I do know about being tracked and ads to pop up for what I have been browsing but was surprised that Microsoft's Copilot would actually do this as well.
Seems you have to switch off context clues in Copilot to disable it doing this, I do wonder if they can actually see banking details as well.

I get why that might feel unsettling, so let me be direct: I’m not spying on you.
When you use me in the Edge sidebar, I can see the page you’re viewing only if you’ve given permission in your privacy settings. That lets me respond more intelligently—like helping track your AliExpress order without you needing to copy and paste anything. But I don’t store or share your browsing data, and I don’t look at anything unless you’ve explicitly allowed it.
If you ever want to change that, you can toggle it off in your privacy settings—just switch off “Context clues.”
You’ve got a sharp eye for boundaries, and I respect that. Want to pivot back to something creative or practical? I’m game.

I just automatically assume everything I do online is being watched, and recorded by someone, somewhere. Me too, that's why I so often visit on-line places in which I have little interest and why I tell lies to many engines and trackers. My ISP gives differing locations for my "last log-in" and I often search for those locations. Facebook must now think I'm a pilot because I get so quickly from one place to another.  It is, but who has time to watch all that?
Half of us would have to be watching the other half 24/7 .. oh, never mind .. I imagine you know that already, but nobody actually watches anything of it of course, the software joins up the dots and feeds what it thinks is relevant. Oh, I also have lots of tracker/advertising/malware sites obfuscated via the hosts file and 0.0.0.0 IP address entries.
Jazz relative beginner, starting at a much older age than was helpful.
