Dan,

If you’ll look back at the posts prior to yours, you’ll see there were no political discussions going on.

Quote:

It's that kind of opinion that can't be left to smolder in peoples minds

You honestly don’t think there was anything “smoldering” in peoples minds after watching a musical parody do you? Seriously?

You have the right to post whatever you want, but you really should refrain from insults. In your very first line you called GDaddy “misguided”, simply because his opinions may differ from yours. You then told him to “educate” himself, called him “ignorant” several times, said he was “in a sort of hypnotic state”.

What really blew me away was for you to suggest that GDaddy do the following:

Quote:

allow intellegent people to form your opinions for you

I don’t know about you, but I’m perfectly capable of forming my own opinions and I’ll bet that GDaddy is too. By the way, you misspelled intelligent. If you’re going to insult someone’s intelligence, you may want to use spell check before posting or it may backfire on you.

And then to top it off you said this:

Quote:

In fact, on the count of three I'm gonna snap my finger and all the perverse opinions that have been spoon fed to you to keep you ignorant will dissapear.

One

Two

Three

The country can only hope smarter minds will prevail....

Those are some pretty serious insults over the posting of a song parody. And by the way, you misspelled “disappear”. For the record, we never pick on each other for spelling errors on here because all of us do it, myself included. The only reason I’m pointing them out to you is because you said that GDaddy needed to “educate” himself, that he was “ignorant”, and that he needed to be “smarter”. It’s to make a point.

What usually happens on this forum when one of us insults another member is that we make a public apology on the forum. I’ve made several public apologies on here when I’ve said things deliberately, or just without thinking first, that was an insult to another member.

In the spirit of that, I would like to apologize to you for calling your tirade “mindless”. It was a gut reaction for what I thought was a gross over reaction to a song parody. I just hope you’ll “man up” and apologize to GDaddy.

For the record, I don’t watch Fox News, (or as you so cleverly put it, Fix), nor do I watch CNN, MSNBC, CBS, ABC or NBC news. I don’t listen to Beck, Hannity, Limbaugh, O’Reilly, Boortz, Savage, etc. I’m also not a member of the Tea Party. I’m just a plain old conservative and I’m capable of forming my own opinions.

When it comes to news, all I want to know is what happened, who, when and where. I’ll decide what to think about that for myself. A song parody of any political persuasion isn’t going to affect the way I think, but it might make me laugh, even if the parody is about a politician I support.
