Hey guys...this is a song I just entered in the Wide Open Country song competition...I wrote it with my Irish writing partner Buddy Sutton...it began as a poem Buddy wrote for his daughter's birthday...I have a beautiful daughter too so I was glad to get on board...he let me edit the lyric and add some stuff...I composed the melody and recorded it using BIAB and probably posted it here...for the contest I felt a more professional voice would be better than mine..so I took my BIAB track and fed into an AI engine and this is the final demo.
So...if you do...thanks for listening...Dan

A beautiful tribute to all dads and daughters.
Love the lyrics, and love your vocals even more.
I wouldn't be surprised to hear this song on the radio.

Dan, sweetly sentimental and flawlessly arranged. The vocal arrangement is excellent, and the vocals turned out great. Super overall sound. When you credit BiaB instruments "in original cut" does that mean we are not hearing them on the song you linked? Good luck with the contest!

(FWIW, the opening sequence that recurs later in the song sounds like the opening to "I'd Really Love to See You Tonight". Very common chord sequence under it, so possible that there are just so many ways to lead voice over those chords...)

Great song! Loved everything about it. Of course, the lyric and the vocal take center stage and your backing track was perfect to support them. So polished, so well-produced. Very impressive!!

Thanks Ron...I always enjoy your comments...to answer your question...you are not hearing the original BIAB tracks on the final cut...the BIAB tracks gave the AI a pattern to follow and recreate...the AI then takes its liberty in interpreting those original tracks...what I like is that though it does not mimic the tracks exactly it keeps the feel and essence of those BIAB tracks which act as a guide for the AI to use to create the song in the right style, tempo and genre...thanks for your gracious comments...Dan

Dan, this is absolutely a masterpiece of a song.
Loved the lyrics and vocal.
The chord progression and backing tracks were a perfect fit.
Loved it.

Love it, Dan & Buddy. I have two beautiful daughters, so I love this twice as much. Those lyrics and the love of fathers for their daughters are the driving forces. Add your compositional skills and mastering abilities and this is surely a winner. Daddy's little girl(s) is all grown up and that adds to the beauty of this one, Dan. Chills, smiles and tears.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Dan, this is a sweet and lovely song and we imagine your daughters are very happy with it.
A good friend of ours has been having some of those very thoughts lately about his daughter and wondering where the years have gone.

Enjoyed it!

Hi, Dan.

Suno did a great job "plussing" this song.

I understand that Sunu used the BiaB track as a guide. Out of curiosity, how closely does it match to the original material? Obviously, it's going to take liberties with the arrangement. But I'm curious how closely it tracks the supplied chords and melody.

Nice work. smile

My sincere thanks to everyone who commented on Daddy's Little Girl (WaoBand, Brno, Mario, Marty, floyd, Andi, J&B and David)...it does rattle the cages of those of us who have daughters and I so appreciate your comments...Buddy is struggling with cancer and treatments right now so I know this will encourage him greatly...thanks again...Dan

David I have found that having BiaB tracks to put through the Suno "cover" mode produces a reasonable facsimile of the original...it's really good about reproducing the unique licks of the lead guitars which really keeps the essence of the original tracks alive...I like this though it does take liberties with the melodies sometimes that I don't care for...it gives you two versions...one is closer to the original and the other is slightly different and takes more liberties with the vocals and instrumentation...but it does replicate the track and original melody with hauntingly good reproduction...thanks for your comments I hope I answered the question to your satisfaction...Dan

Dan,

Simply put, this is a studio-quality, potential hit song. Simply beautiful in all facets. This is second to anything I've heard in the genre and theme.

EXCELLENT!!!
