DISCUSSION...STEM SPLITTING...
IS RB A BETTER SOLUTION FOR USERS WANTING TO
ADD OR EXPERIMENT ADDING THEIR OWN TRACKS (MIDI/AUDIO)
TO A SONG ...eg a golden oldie.

i seems to me that rb offers distinct advantages and tons of features related to this task over any other solution....if anyone wants to add further points or discuss great ! i started this topic because it seems there might be confusion maybe with new users. this was prompted by a thread on stem splitting on the forums.

heres my perspective..

1..rb does fractional tempos...SO ..
lets consider someone is stem splitting a song originally recorded on 2 inch 24 track tape multitracks or say a tascam or fostex tape multitrack people used to have in project studios. i know from my own experiences in studios and even owning once a 2 inch tape machine that there were slight variations of speed and other nuances. SO maybe the song to be split has tempo variations in it...
no matter how slight.
so question...isnt rb a better solution ?
2..i, as well as other rb users i'm sure find audio/midi editing in rb to be better and easier and as a user said awhile back the rb tracks view shows one everything....whereas in bb i can only see one track at a time for editing unlike rb tracks view...
3..for someone adding their own content to an old song thats been stem split rb has way way more tracks to record to and experiment with etc.
ie 256 tracks.
plus there are lots of different other usefull features in rb.
its choc full of features that bb doesnt have that might help someone adding new tracks to an old song....and it would take me pages to detail everything..

in summary might i suggest its a question of useing the right tool for the job ?
and to me it seems with this task of adding new content to an old song that rb offers various advantages.

thoughts ? what are other rb users opinions re added rb advantages ?

i'm not knocking biab but for certain things rb is the better vehicle imho with its very deep audio and midi features.
and this is one of these cases imho....re adding new content to an old song.
