Good choice of instruments! …
Thanks B.D.! This is a song where I heard the strings and electro-flutes before I added them (the song was asking for them), so I had a sense they would work, and chuffed that they turned out the way they did.

I like this, it reminds me of some old popular song that I just cannot place. Strings were nice, they fit well. Lyrics were terrific. Overall: well done!

Thanks Bob. Lyrics are not my strong point, but I put in extra effort on this song to make them roll off the tongue more easily in a more natural way. Thanks for listening!

A very contemplative write and we especially liked:

“My mem’ries come and go like trains at a station
I never pay the fare
Words aren’t required and there’s no explanation
My feelings aren’t central, I deposit them there

The vocals, mix, progression, arrangement and entire production were all "hittin’ the note" (As Gregg Allman used for "all is good" smile )

The video well supported the narrative and the pixelated fx was different and effective.

Well done,

J&B

You picked the section of lyrics that I had most doubts over, so I am glad it appealed to you. I prefer writing lyrics in oblique terms - ‘join the dots’ as you say.
Thanks for listening and watching!

Hi, Andrew,

Very much a 60s vibe happening on this one to these ears, the changes sounds like something the Beatles might have done back in the day, and that's ok in my book wink

Nice job on the track, strings really kick things up a notch, and I like how you bring them in.

Good lyrics and vocal also, enjoyed!

I'm definitely an introvert. You chorus is spot on. I love the 60s folk feel of the song. Excellent production. Instrumental choices fit well with your melody and lyrics.

Thanks Dave. Yep, I’m definitely a child of the 60s, and love how The Beatles drew from outside the key for a lot of their magic. The strings on this seem to be getting everyone’s votes of approval. Thanks for listening!

Thanks Scott - yes, it’s surprising how many musicians are introverts, when writing and performing can be such a public exposure. I guess it’s about controlled environments. Thanks for listening and glad you liked it.
