Hi Herb
An epic sound right from the outset. A really big sound and great production. Really kept me listening till the end. The moment of quietness just before the end was a great contrast, only to have it come on strong again to close.
Great song, kind regards.

Hi Herb, Absolutely great song. Sounds totally professional. The guitars are really cool. Great ending. One question: Is Josh a “real” singer? Or AI? That's hard to tell these days ;-) Great work, Herb. Andi ;-) Thanks for listening and commenting. Playing the guitars was really fun. Josh is in fact an AI vocal. One of the best ones I've heard to date. Just one year ago this level of quality wouldn't have been possible.

Great song, amazing energy, brilliant singer, VERY cool guitar playing! Very contemporary minus the snare (sounds more like the 80s than the 2020s), I'd use one with less reverb/sustain. Nevertheless, easily my new favorite of yours ![[Linked Image - Only viewable when logged in]](https://www.pgmusic.com/forums/images/icons/default/thumbs_up.gif) BD....thanks. one of your favorites .... That is a great compliment. The guitar parts.... I must have recorded a lot of tracks that all got scrapped. In the end ... It was a basic, simpler approach, nothing fancy that finally got the job done. My tele along with the spark 40 and a Fishman amp model and I think the Quilter DA as well. 4 tracks total for guitar but some only have parts scattered. 2 are the foundation. I had a good time with the guitars....

Thanks. I listened to the part you mentioned and didn't hear anything that sounded like an auto tune jump... Herb, it's the the word "will" bending up at :45 seconds. Still love the song. For forum members wanting to listen/relisten to the song, if you look closely at the link in the original post it takes the listener to YouTube, where the song is available.

Herb what an outstanding song. Josh's vocal, your guitar, and the mix all were outstanding but the lyrics made it for me. They are so true. You heavy rock side of Contemporary Christian music is second to none. A truly outstanding song. Loved it. Indeed. The lyrics have a powerful message. One of my favorite CCM bands is Skillet. They rock heavy and have a powerful message in their songs. Several years ago I did a Skillet influenced version of "It is well with my soul".

Perfect timing indeed, Herb. Passionate vocal and inspiring lyrics. Dang what an incredible vocal range with superb quality low to high -- and VERY high. Outstanding guitar accompaniment. It's songs like this that remind me not everyone has gone mad. Thanks, Herb. Music keeps me sane. My dogs too. They never lie to me and are always honest and willing to love and forgive. Thanks

Hi Herb,
What a wonderful song. The way you sing it is awesome! The band is great!!! Completely different from what I expected. But I think the new times need more 'shouting out'. And I like that ending of the song very much...
Hans Thanks for listening Hans

… This is what is referred to as CCM. Contemporary Christian music. It's a wide ranging genre. This one falls on the heavy rock side of the genre. In the genre, guitar solos tend to be understated. More of a filler than a display of 6 string skills. … Herb, I’d love to have your filler guitar skills any day! Just watched your video - it gives good support for the song with some movement in the backgrounds but not enough to distract. Good timing on the on-screen lyrics that pop in just at the right time. I gave it a like and a view on its way to 100. Andrew Thanks again Andrew. I'm certainly not proficient with video but it was kinda fun tackling the new challenge.

A BIG modern country praise song. If only the chorus could be real. Thanks Ray. Oh yeah, the chorus is real.

Great song, kind regards. I like to mix while envisioning a live band performance. If this was my band, on stage, how would I want it to sound? With that in mind, I mix. Thanks for listening

Herb,
One of the very best Christian Country songs I've ever heard. Everything about this shines. It's big, it's strong, it's melodic, the vocal is excellent, the arrangement & mix are standout.
The message rings strong, and music such as this are great conduiits for the message.
Excellent all facets. Well done. Standing O.

Hi, Herb.
I'm late to this rodeo.
Excellent prosody. Amazing guitars. Big production.
The vocals are great, but I think I've been listening to AI vocals too much - my brain is turns off and the vocals become part of the background instead of the forefront. Which is irritating, because the vocals - especially the lyrics - are really good here.
Excellent work.

Excellent work. Thanks Dave. Better late than never or so I'm told. It's a lot of fun for me to play guitar so I was enjoying every single minute of tracking those guitars. When the AI generated vocal is as good as this one, I'm still amazed at the quality of it, even after hearing it hundreds of times. Thanks for listening and commenting.

Whoa dude!!
Was that you on that intro guitar??
That was freaking killer man. This is one of the best displays of tight and controlled playing and crisp, layered, inventive and powerful arrangement I have heard on the forum in while.
The song is almost a master class on what to play and what not to play. You truly have the master touch with this type of production.
I guess I'm going to have to call you the master of reason and rhyme! And speaking of being the master of reason and rhyme, those lyrics are gorgeous and simply unparalleled. Again a masterclass in how to construct something that's catchy and powerful, as opposed to being self-conscious and self-absorbed and self-congratulatory.
You are truly the great player and the great teacher! I'm looking to start writing a couple of new tunes here in the next few weeks but I'm certainly going to stand in humility in the face of this baby!
Keep on kicking out the hits man cause we certainly need to have you around showing us how it's done!!

To respond to your comments and questions: Yes, I did play ALL of the guitars on this. The secret, if there is a secret to playing the guitar or any other instrument, is to know the scales and the pentatonic boxes but to use them appropriately and find things that fit rather than forcing something that doesn't really work. Don't be afraid to color outside of the lines but keep it tasty. Keep on writing. I'm looking forward to what you come up with. Thanks again
