So well done, Carl. I pushed Play before reading your words, and soon found my face had formed into a mix of sadness, longing, and yet hope. You know, eyebrows pushed together, eyes changing from opened to closed, mouth pursed between smile and frown. Yeah, that's how the best music can reach the soul. Your music has a fastpath to those kinds of emotion. Beautiful. Heck, if I was your neighbor, I'd never move --unless, of course, if you did.

Carl,
Carl was my maternal grandfather's name, and I loved him more than life itself. He was my life mentor.
And your music reminds me of him at times. That makes it extra special for me.
This is so gorgeous. I've told you several times, but I'll say it again. You have a special touch on the guitar strings. Your playing gives music a soul and a voice so soft and gentle. This is just so good. i think this is my favorite by you. Picking a favorite isn't easy as everything you do is exquisite. But this one just grabbed me.

Band-in-a-Box 2026 Video: AI Stems & Notes - split polyphonic audio into instruments and transcribe
This video demonstrates how to use the new AI-Notes feature together with the AI-Stems splitter, allowing you to select an audio file and have it separated into individual stems while transcribing each one to its own MIDI track. AI-Notes converts polyphonic audio—either full mixes or individual instruments—into MIDI that you can view in notation or play back instantly.
