Very pretty!

Alan

Thanx Alan. No harp but I think you are referring to Deep Flight track. That was a MIDI track that was generated in s program called Instant Chord. That track was copied into my DAW and I assigned the Deep Flight VSTi to it and used the Bells and Tubes preset. It does sound similar to a harp. I hope this help.

Janne, thanx so much for this wonderful review. Your post is one of the most descriptive overview of one of my songs that I have ever heard. Thanx so much for making my day.

Well, I would never, ever, admit to daydreaming while my wife is talking, that wouldn't end well eek

Good stuff, Mario, love it when you bring the guitar in! Lovely, melodic playing. Flute sounds great also.

Nicely done, enjoyed.

Nicely done. It's a good one for drifting off on this Wednesday morning before the day starts

Thanx Dave. Now that my fingers are not hurting so much I'm trying to get back into playing guitar more. My little finger doesn't bend much anymore so a lot of the chords I use to play are now impossible to play. I'm glad you liked it.

A running joke of my mom who would've turned 100 yesterday was, "Can you play 'Far Far Away'?"

Man, you must be a very very calm human, Mario. Your music is so strongly calming (unless you don't want it to be in some songs). I love the little lilting and fluttering sounds of the flute-like sounds. Yeah, this is exactly where I go in those daydreaming moments. Well done!!

Enjoy whatever happens!

Hi Mario,

It's amazing what boring activities can lead to.
And in your case, that Bansuri flute makes a real difference!
Well done and thank you so much for getting me in the mood to make a new song!!!

Marty thanx for this wonderful review. Me a calm human? NO WAY grin grin You should have heard some of the songs I wrote about my bosses! For obvious reasons I never posted or kept them.

"Thanx so much Chay. I had never heard of Medwym Goodall so I looked him up. I was very impressed with his music so I will have to purchase some it. Have you every heard of David Arkinstone? He is one of my favorites."

I hadn't heard of David Arkinstone before, so I looked him up and his material is very like Medwyn Goodall's! I still have a few MG audio tapes which I've not had a cassette player to play them on for some years so I decided to re-listen to some on YouTube and I was absolutely shocked by what I heard! Although all of his music on YT is pristinely pure digital it didn't sound nearly as good as on my audio tapes as they're all analogue recordings and none of the atmosphere that I'm used to was there! It's surprising just how much is lost with digital. With a lot of music I have on vinyl it's not so noticeable, but I had the same shock the first time I heard Morricone's "Once Upon a Time in the West" in digital format as the original analogue from the movie has so much more warmth and feeling to it. But re MG, my favourite of his albums that I've heard - maybe only 6 or 7 out of his unbelievable 141! - is his very first, "Emergence", as some of the tracks 100% evoke the sea and seaside. My favourite tracks on that are "Sail Away", "Driftwood", "Sea of Clouds" and my all-time favourite of his, "Tideline", to which for my own benefit I wrote lyrics for! Among my other favourites of his in other styles are "Celebration" and "Sun Drumming". It's amazing just how many instruments he played.

Some favourite Waoist Adages:
#1: Play on the Way.
#13: Ask not for whom the flower blooms, it blooms for you.
#58: Bring consciousness to it.
#63: On the road to effortlessness, effort must be made.
#92: Be Love Now, the rest will come on its own.
