A TESTIMONIAL FOR ANYONE (eg lurkers) THINKING OF BUYING
PG SOFTWARE (REALBAND/BIAB etc) TO CREATE SONGS.
i hope lurkers or anyone else sees this that might be contemplating buying Pg's
rb/biab....cos i was amazed recently by what some normal music consumers
said about my use of rb/biab.
(i just do songs for fun and have used pg software to do a ton of songs over the years....starting with powertracks and later realband and biab.)
sooo...heres the situation....which gave me joy.
i was in hospital for a few days for a procedure....and of course one gets
really really bored. i bore easily...lol.
while there... some people played my songs in my sig on their phones..
done with pg software. (RB/BB etc etc.)
these are just normal music consumers...not musicians...and they were a tough sceptical crowd....then the word spread among the staff.
i wasnt reckoning on the reactions of the hospital staff working there...
'wow'..'this is you ?'...'love the song'...'how did you do that ?'
'what did you use ?...i want to do songs...' etc etc.
so thanks PG..not even one negative comment.
it was very satisfying....seeing the fun people were haveing bopping along to the songs done with pg products...(the stallion/my granny told me/coastal highway and many others..etc etc in my sig.)
(before someone asks... my only reason for posting this is..to provide a reference and show one can write songs useing PG apps that 'the normal music consumer'. gets a lot of pleasure from...bopping heads included...lol.
my pleasure is seeing people haveing fun playing my crazy songs.)
another reason reason i'm posting this is yep maybe there are occasional app 'quirks'..(what doesnt have quirks...)...but this doesnt stop creators doing songs useing these products that normal music consumers like and bring joy.

Happiness to all pg staff and users..and let me say thanks pg for your products.
the experience i had with people who didnt know me made me very happy to see the fun people were haveing.

Just a thought: is the Off-Topic Forum the best location to reach the audience of potential customers you want? Why not the regular BIAB for Windows (or Mac)?

1..i thought some users might complain that the product forums are for tech support etc etc. but i'll also post in those....but i bet someone will complain.
2..i think a testimonials sub forum is needed where users can detail how they use bb/rb. might be easier.
3..from my hospital experience and the reaction to my songs ive definitely concluded that the general public never visit the sites that host our songs.
so the whole thing is a condrum as i'm sure most creators would prefer to create.
the only solution i can see is if creators want their songs to reach the general public then a massive marketing campaign is needed.
