Wow, Donny, one of the best things I've heard on here of late. Vocal was incredible. Use of BIAB was terrific. GREAT work!

Donny,

Songs sounds beautiful, well done! Your vocals are clear as a bell, and smooth. There is a little Neil Diamond along with some crooners there. This is intended to be a compliment!

It is interesting to note the it is a “DIRE…” style as, before I knew this, it instantly reminded me of a Knopfler song, Seattle.

Your production is spot on, too. Thank you for sharing your art. I have subscribed to your YouTube channel.

Donny,

This is stunningly beautiful and so well presented.

The vocal was as smooth as the velvet. The backing tracks were perfect and work so smoothly together. And the mix is first class This sounds as good as anything from a corporate studio.

This rewinds my life back to the 50s when I was in Jr. High and High School. (Yeah, I'm old. Moses once asked me if I was sure that there were only ten commandments.)

After 15 or 20 minutes, my mind went straight to Vic Damone. Your vocal tonality is so similar to his. In my book, that's really good. I think he is one of the most underrated singers of the 50s and 60s.

Really, really good music.

Alan

Your singing is so great! Nice groove. Nice guitar solo too. So, what's wrong with "easy listening", if it's so rewarding to listen to?

Hi, Donny.

Sounds great!

As Alan said, smooth. When it finished, I wanted to play it again. So I did. wink

That's the measure of a good song for me.

The song says "1950s", but your vocal reminds me of Paddy McAloon from Prefab Sprout, which is a good thing in my book.

Beautiful song, arrangement and production, topped with superb vocals. I imagined Marilyn Monroe dance-floating across the video screen as I followed the lyrics.

A beautiful and absolutely professional-sounding song.

Hi Donny!
I love that chord change around 2:34! I’ve only listened once (will be doing so again, several times) but I have no idea after listening to this song what the song is saying (which is a good thing - I don’t mind it when lyrics or meaning isn’t ’in your face’), other than (I assume) recalling times with a significant other. I like these types of lyrics that use ambiguity so that the words become meaningful in the way that the listener wants. Also in my preference, the lyrics are the vehicle for the music and sentiment /feel of the song.

I did notice a couple of times where the long-held vocal notes reflect the meaning of the word spoken.

Just for clarity - is this you singing or AI? If it’s you, this is brilliant! If it’s AI, it’s good use. No offence intended when asking!

Off for my second and third listens. This sounds really good. Well done - liked it a lot.

Hi Andrew, my workload is as follows, write chords in BIAB, write lyrics using all tools, export to a mixer, add my guitar, add my voice, upload the .wav file into Suno, ask Suno to write a cover, it then adds an A>I> Agent voice over. So, this is not me this time, this is a Michael Bublé persona I created in Suno. While I own it, I did not use my voice this time. Thank you for all your comments. You can listen to a song called My Bad in the YouTube channel if you want to hear my voice. Thanks again.

Beautiful, excellent, pro work throughout. Loved the lyric phrase "danced fast, moved slow" (I think that's it). And an interesting, attention-keeping ending. I wish I could generate vocals like that. I'm going to see if I can understand the workflow you described. thanks, so great!

Hang in there Tano, it is easier than you think these days, yes it is daunting at first, but after a few time it is a piece of cake. Thanks for your kind comments. Maybe I could start a post and walk everyone thru it, I feel it is the future of songwriting, and as soon as Suno issues its' DAW, then all heck breaks loose.

Wow! Things are developing in this space - and pretty quickly it seems! You are a good songwriter, Donny. I've been listening to some of your songs on your YouTube channel. Very smooth. You're a good singer as well - listening to 'My bad'.

Donny, I don't have enough adjectives to describe how I love this song. I also thought of Vic Damone.
I also agree that you superb vocal was smooth. The backing band perfectly emulated the 50's vibe.
The mix was spot on.
Thanx for the flashback.
Loved it.

This is far more than an AI "voice over" - it's a "cover" done by Suno. This means that although Suno has stayed true to the chords, melody and lyrics, it has completely re-done the song.

None of the backing tracks in the final version came from BiaB. At best, you could say that Sunu used the BiaB song as a guide. However:

  • The bass in BiaB is a lot busier; the bass in the Suno cover is a much simpler root and fifth pattern;
  • The electric and acoustic guitars sound are missing in the Suno cover;
  • The drum tracks are entirely different. The Suno drums are Latin, not rock;
  • The strings don't sound like MIDI strings;
  • Suno added a piano

Additionally, Suno essentially performs mixing and arranging.

That's not to say that it's not a beautiful song. But Suno hasn't just added a vocal - it's completely re-done the song. There is no BiaB in the final result.
