And what I have a hard time with is that you really don’t know what you are talking about.

I’ve been consulting to Apple since 1987 and was at the Cupertino mothership just last week working on… oops, that’s covered by an NDA..

You said: "There are no “universal binaries” that let an app run over Intel and Apple Silicon without Rosetta 2."

This is at best just plain confusing and badly worded or - taken as written simply false and I don't care how long you've interacted with Apple for or your name-drops. If you're making erroneous, confusing or misleading statements thats what you're doing. And it isn't the first time.

A certain official appointed by a President is making all manner of false, mistaken and confused claims regarding medicine these days. He too can claim some very famous name-drops and familial connections. And yet he still spouts BS, misleads and confuses people.

Here is the reality. See the first line......

App Bundle Types
===============
Universal Binary: Runs natively on Intel and Apple Silicon. One app bundle. NO ROSETTA REQUIRED
Intel-only app Binary: Runs ONLY on Intel Macs or - using Rosetta - on Apple Silicon Macs.
Apple Silicon Only: Runs ONLY on Apple Silicon Macs. Rosetta not required or applicable.
