The new synth vocals have an excellent blend.
I'm glad to hear that works for you. smile

The sound reminds Janice of the band Bread especially.
And also of some other soft rock bands she listened to in the 70’s.
I guess that's just where I go reflexively. I love the acoustic sound and melodic vocals.

Being able to come up with harmonies that I don't have to worry about singing correctly is a plus!

We love the back story!
It’s hard to imagine putting that much effort into a production.
Bud always says “mixing is never finished … just abandoned.”
He also said you might be the exception to that. smile
Oh, trust me - there are many times I'm ready to give up. But then I'll play it "just one more time", and I'll hear something in how it's being sung that could be better, or something sticking out of the mix, and so on. So it's an iterative process.

On the other hand, a real singer will often just phrase things right the first time.

But the bottom line is it sounds great on the monitors.
And one look at the waveform before hitting play told us what we would hear.
An open mix with great dynamics setting up a fine soundstage.
And it was.
You know how to say the nicest things! smile

Enjoyed it!
Thanks - that's the best part.

Vocal control, you say. Never heard of it. Is that some kind of ProTools thing?
