I don't much care for anything fake from people to music to food. If we as humans give our creative power over to AI because AI can "do it better", we are failing to honor our unique humanness and potential. It's not scary. Just sad.

Maybe Ai will have an effect on a career where there is financial reward for making music and writing songs, but for hobbyists it shouldn't in my opinion.

You get a song from Suno,

1 Remember you are the producer, the song wouldn't exist without your input.
2 You take it into your DAW and rearrange it, getting all the pieces in the right place to your satisfaction.
3 You have produced the end song putting the lyricist music and everything together, and that in itself should give you satisfaction Think "Producer"

Why fear progress!! If AI can producer as good a song as any human I'm all for listening.
A quick fun example that I done even creating the pictures in Copilot.

All I can say is more power to AI, but I still love my Band in a box as well.

Suno Studio just was released. It is an incredible jump in AI and also very scary. Suno Studio lets you bring in your BIAB RTs and then you can add instruments with verbal prompts. I have seen a few YT videos where strings and horns are added that are just as real as the RTs. At this point, I wouldn't start a song in Suno, but I could see bringing in a BIAB based song and tweaking things. I think in a year or two, Suno could approach BIAB in track generation.

Two things: first, the biggest detriment is that AI is destroying the ability to think critically, to solve problems, to be creative. People naturally look for the lazy easy way to make money and to just skate by. Second, it violates copyrights clear across the board by culling from works that have already been done. This is also a blatant insult to artists who have done their creations with human thoughts and hands in the first place. People who say, "I created a song using AI," did not create at all. And the music (actually marketing) industry are referring to these imposters as "music designers." We are living in Orwell's "1984," folks.
