Really cool song, Izzy! In my opinion, your best yet.
So many little things working perfectly together. The varitions were nice, and your vocal is stellar on this. This is good music!

Seriously though, it's amazing to hear that. 🤭 ₑₘbₐᵣᵣₐₛₛₑd And "so many little things working perfectly together"? Honestly, half of those were happy accidents I'm now taking full credit for. Glad the variations landed! As for "stellar" vocals? Clearly, you weren't listening at 3 AM when I was trying to hit that high note. My neighbours would strongly disagree with your assessment!🙉 "Good music!" – I'll absolutely take that and run with it. My internal critic is currently in a corner, confused but appreciative. Man, I love this, Izzy, not just cuz it's yours--although that's a good start. Powerful change in dynamics really propel this into the excitment realm, Harmonies --voices in general-- are terrific. Great mix, man. A song that starts with bass is always special.
A night person's anthem, a songwriter's haven of quiet times. Love it, but covet is better that dove it. I swear I'll try. Ha. Don't try, just dot it. We can all use this song to get us started for sure. Man, the istrumentation on this is phenomenal. Fantastic vocal --oh, I said that. I'm on my 3rd listen cuz I reallydig this, Izzy. Such a good song; so dang engaging.
Oh, and you have great friends. Marty, thank you so much for not only listening but for giving it the coveted three-listen endorsement! That genuinely means a lot. I’m thrilled the dynamics landed; that section felt a little like steering a ship in high winds when mixing. And I completely agree: starting with the bass is the rule—the universe just sounds better when B flat leads the way. A "night person's anthem" is the highest compliment; isolation is where the best ideas hide. Now, about those “great friends” you mentioned...I'll make sure to pass along your praise to my dedicated, slightly overwhelmed, and highly schizophrenic internal music coalition. I appreciate you digging into the instrumentation and the mix. It was a dark, isolated labour of love, but hopefully, the efforts of my collective personalities paid off! Thanks again, Marty! Hi, Izzy. Man, this song goes through so many sonic changes. Wide panning, sounds great on my speakers. Vocals are awesome - mono, doubled, harmonized. It's all there. However, I'm gutted after reading your description to find absolutely no rhymes involving "oon".  Mr David, Massive thanks for such a detailed and awesome listen! So glad the sonic shenanigans and wide panning didn't give you whiplash – I practically re-arranged the furniture in my studio getting those just right. 🏚 🙄 As for the distinct lack of "oon" rhymes... my deepest, sincerest apologies! I swear I had a whole bridge about a raccoon on the moon eating a macaroon, but my rhyming dictionary mysteriously went missing right before I recorded it. Clearly a sign from the universe that I need to save that linguistic magic for the next track. Consider yourself warned: my next single will be a 7-minute epic entirely comprised of 🌛 "moon," "spoon," "baboon," and "soon." You've unleashed a monster. Instant like. Love your stuff, Izzy. You really know how to vary things within a single piece. Who doesn't love a bass intro? And when the chorus came in...yeah. Good. Some of the female BVs sound a little too forward to me. But your vocals, man! You rock.

It is quite rare to get to enjoy listening to such a strong rock song on this forum  The band is great, starting with sole bass & emotional vocal give intimate feeling and then the song develops with enjoyable guitars, plenty of variation and interesting effects. The chorus is what the chorus should be - thing to wait for and pogo along. The vocal interpretation is raw and powerful with lots of dynamics. And the ending with the organ is very cool. Excellent, anthemic lyric, lines like "turning pain into strength get a piece of that" & " I'll pave my way/With every step, I won't fade away" really express the strong intentions by the hero of the story. This is a quality rock song, professional but still has a welcome, edgy "analog" feel to it, glad you shared it and glad that you are on this forum to explore areas that no other member has explored before Janne
