I've just set up a new PC with Windows 11. Trying to create a local account was difficult folllowing the pre-ordained route but by searching for 'control panel' and opening it i got the old commands for setting up an account. I now have a PC with two new local accounts and not signed in with microsoft. whilst they made changes to the windows 11 procedure they probably forgot to remove the old fashioned way through control panel. It's a route i use sometimes when the new 'settings' menu doesn 't have the options i require..no registry hacks and dead easy.
