Yes, it's a bit of a faff. There are guides on the net. My usual general route is to first set up with an MS account, then add each real user, deferring any Microsoft Acount until later. ... Years later.  I do then still have the MS login if I should ever want it.
Jazz relative beginner, starting at a much older age than was helpful.
