On how many pc's can I activate my BIAB?
I want to use a dedicated PC on my recording table and a more portable one to travel with.

Thanks

You can have Band-in-a-Box activated on up to three computers. However, you can have the program open on one computer at a time.

For example you may have the program installed and activated on both a desktop and laptop computer. But you can use only the desktop or laptop program at any moment in time.

Correct, however one other thing is that you must be the sole user of Band-in-a-Box, meaning that the 3 computers must be used only by you.

These requirements effect me in no way, but it sounds a bit strange. crazy In order to inforce that, BIAB would need to "call home" to verify what computer is being used each time it is run. and two it would need to use the computer camera to verify that the same person is operating it? Is there any other software with such a "single same user" requirement? crazy

Lots of software has a clause like that in the licence. I doubt much has the ability to enforce it in such a way ... yet, anyway.

Soon enough malign users of AI will be trying to circumvent company's AI, which is trying to enforce licences.

These requirements are written in the license agreement for Band-in-a-Box, however they are not enforced in any manner that might compromise the user's privacy or security. Apart from during activation, Band-in-a-Box does not call home, nor does it connect to a camera in any way (except if the camera is chosen as an audio input).

The company is honest, and for all intents and purposes, a very high proportion of the users - if not all - are honest also.

Installing on up to 3 systems is very generous in my view.
