Oh, yeah, I always love what you play, and in this one I like the bass and percussion, too. Is that a cajon with tambourine? Anyway, you have magic in those fingers, Carl, and your creative brain always gives them the best ways to move. Beautiful sounds.

Enjoy whatever happens!

Hi Marty - I think you're right about the cajon & tambourine (just what came with the BB Style),
my timing on guitar is rubbish nowadays so it took a fair bit of editing to make this sound
acceptable - really pleased you thought it was ok, thanks as always for your very
complimentary comments!
Hope you enjoy a great Sunday Marty,

Carl

Hi Carl,
You tell us so little about the song memo; inquiring minds want to know! Were they bells or tambourine? My untrained ears don't know; I just know I like the sound. Another very nice ambient piece. Fun tinkly piano bits. The acoustic guitar sounds so warm...I find my ears gravitating toward it.

Thanks Beth - really simple, I just put my own chord sequence into BB
with the Style: 'Spore Laid Back Beat' demo loaded - once I replaced
the BB chords with mine I had the foundation for the track, then I began
adding my own ac/el guitars and piano fills! I don't do anything very
sophisticated at all, the mixing and fine-tuning of my multiple timing
mistakes took the time, as well as a few re-mixes. This style
already had nylon guitar chords which I panned to one side (L I think)
and I then added my own ac guitar chords panned the other side -
hope that helps, thanks a lot for your interest Beth and for taking
a listen,
Lurssen Mastering + Brick Wall Limiter & Metering (IK Mulitmedia), HOFA I.Q. Limiter,
FabFilter Q3 - all on the master channel of Logic with individual adjustments
(overkill probably, but it's what works for me after years of experimenting).
BB individual instrument files drag & drop directly into Logic tracks +
my own instrument recordings on additional tracks!!

Carl, I don't know how you do it but you have produced another masterpiece.
Sweet tone on your guitar. Nice little piano rifts. Super blend.
Loved that percussion!
Loved the song also.

So pleased this sounded ok to you Mario - it's a little
different from my usual sound palette on el guitar,
again I'm glad you thought the tone was ok! The
thing is, when you're on 'the inside' of your own
music, you can't always tell - you get a bit 'blinded'
by the repetitive re-runs & re-mixes etc.
Thank you Mario!!

Hi Carl!
Your compositions always have such interesting chord progressions, and your melodies always hit notes that bring out the colour and beauty. Well done!

Many thanks Andrew - really glad you found it interesting & colourful,
I was around 15-16 around the time The Beatles burst on the world!
I became obsessed with learning the chords to every Beatles tune -
the excitement and curiosity with each CD coming out was almost
unbearable - what had the 4 guys thought of next?? Those early
experiences probably shaped my love of 'chords & melody' -
together with e few early years in a boys church choir,
really glad my chords & harmonies worked for you!

Another truly beautiful instrumental, Carl. I always seem to have WildEarth showing on my TV when I'm listening to your music and it's a perfect accompaniment.

I know my music is not for the masses but it's
great to know that even a few appreciate it.
Thanks a lot for 'hearing' what I do,
