Hi all. I started a song in BIAB. I have an accordion track that I muted in bar 1 then back to normal in bar 4. Once I was happy with it I opened the SGU file in RB and it proceeded to generate all the tracks. However this accordion track was alive from bar 1. I then rechecked the F5 settings which came correctly from BIAB. I regenerated and RB just ignored my F5 settings.
I now also created a NEW song in RB and it does the same. Mute/Unmute at chosen bars does not work
I am on Version 2025 (5)
Any advice?

For an audio track In RealBand, move your mouse at the bottom of the accordion track until the pointer changes to a double arrow, then click and drag until you expand the track to see 'Edit VST/DX' and 'Apply Cat FX' boxes on the left. Directly below this is a select box, choose 'Volume Nodes'. Now you can click on the blue line representing volume level for the track. Click on the blue line at the beginning of the track to insert a volume node. Now click on the beginning of bar 4 to insert another volume node. Set the first volume node to zero. Add a third volume node right before the beginning of measure 4 and drag that node to zero.

Yep, there is no F5 in RB If you don't want a section, highlight it and Cut it. Easy peasey, just different.
You can also highlight a section and generate just that section. Basically, RB is not BiaB; it is a DAW that supports the BiaB generation feature. You are no longer in BiaB.
/welcome to the club. Hopefully, soon you will discover why it is better for a lot of things, which is why it is different that BiaB.
Want different instrument for a certain section? Highlight a blank track where you want it to go and generate anything you want.

Tx. I know how to make volume changes but its not quite the same.
Would be a VERY tedious job if you want to manage when you want to manage how different instruments "take turns" during tbe song.
The other alternative must then be to export the tracks from BIAB and import into RB. The problem is then if I want to introduce another instrument I have to go back to BIAB.
Not ideal.
Let's hope someone can tell if its supposed to work i RB. Why let the F5 in RB open the same dialog as in BIAB if it does not work? The help on F5 shortcut says TEMPO but then that is also incorrect.

Thanks Rharv. I suspected that. I'll manage. I have always gone the BIAB->RB route and will revert to that that. Pity though. Strange that they allow the same F5 dialog though.
RB is still my goto software. Love it. I've always done it the way you suggest but something just made me try it when F5 popped up .. tempting.....

Yes Baby!
Thanks Simon! I was wondering if perhaps it was... Oops I really hope the bug is not the fact that the F5 dialog pops up ... LOL
